HIGHEST FORM OF FLATTERY

Few days ago I found this online shopping website jessicabuurman.com. Most of the items are obvious replicas of well known designer clothing, but hey, imitation is the highest form of flattery. Prices are definitely more affordable than the real thing, so I ordered a top that's basically a remake of Helmut Lang's drape top. I'm curious what the quality is like, so once it arrives I'll let you know!

NEW NAME, NEW SHOES

It was a long time coming but I finally have a real name for my blog. And new Wang shoes! My very first pair actually. It's definitely true what they say about them being super comfortable, and with 50% off I simply couldn't resist. So welcome to Black and Beyond and cheers to new shoes!

WANGLENCIAGA

I absolutely love Alexander Wang! His designs are exactly what I look in an item, which is quality fabrics, minimalism, easy to wear, and has this little extra something that makes him so great. And now he's gonna be the creative director at Balenciaga! While Balenciaga is a bit out of reach for me, I'm still super excited and can't wait to see FW2013 show!

ALL BLACK

Got my leather sleeve Zara blazer in mail the other day and a perfect weather to wear it. I have my personal Zara online shopping thing going on with the help of my friends back in Estonia. I think the selection is better in Europe, plus it's cheaper. I'm not a huge fan of shopping in the CBD anyway, so this works out great for me.

BLACK LOVIN'

I finally figured out how to make one of those layered picture things, so here it is...I plan to improve through creating more of this kind of theme or outfit inspirations. I know it's summer and all but I'm still all about black. And more and more loving the idea of sheer anything! This top here with sheer detail would be so great to wear with...well anything pretty much. And oh the cut out boots...I've had my eye on these for awhile now. Gotta love Topshop and international delivery!

ALL THINGS SHEER

At the moment I'm in love with everything sheer, lace, and see through. Maybe it's the few hot days we had here that got me thinking about how amazing it would be to float down the street in a light-as-feather dress wearing high waist hot pants underneath. I really think it can't get much more sexier than that. Although recently I read some old chick magazine where one guy said that the sexiest thing a woman can wear is lingerie, heels, and an apron! I really don't know how that could possibly be sexy...But I do think it would be hilarious!

HOT HOT HOT!

It's crazy hot in Melbourne at the moment! It has become all about great breathable fabrics, so I wore my Zara cotton shirt that I got from Estonia earlier this year. It's really nice and thin, and I got it in XL because I think it looks better oversized.

MASCULINE FEMININITY

I am in love with YSL Spring 2013 campaign starring a female model Saskia de Brauw. It's like The Beatles meets Rolling Stones. Lately the whole women wearing men's clothes concept has been everywhere, especially when it comes to suit jackets, blazers, and coats. This ad campaign is great blurring lines between sexes, it feels kind of empowering!

LAST WEEKEND

It's almost holiday season and here come the Christmas parties! I'm not the one to wear a dress usually, as you probably know if you've been following my blog, but I like dressing up for an occasion. Have another party to attend next weekend. Another party - another dress!

QUICK SNAP

Happy Saturday! It's a hot day in Melbourne which is perfect as I'm off to a Christmas party thing. Here's a quick snap shot of what I decided to wear after changing my mind million times. And then it was the hair...I really need to learn how to make a decision and stick to it! I started with one hair do and then half way through changed it to something else and then again! Anyway, gotta run, I'll post more pictures of my outfit tomorrow!

JUST CAN'T GET ENOUGH

Every day is a casual Friday for me lately because I can't resist the comfort of those jeans! I think I won't stop before I've worn 'em with every top in my wardrobe. Any every shoe!
With the knit though...I think I've blogged about it before that it's one of my favorites because of the stitching on the outside. Really nice detail and that's what a good piece of clothing is all about!
Basically the whole outfit is a combo of good old faithfuls that I wish would last forever!

TOPSHOP PICKS

My friend dropped off her old magazines the other day and the Topshop Fall/Winter '12 is awesome! Those patent burgundy boots, and leather vest, and oh those silverish pants! I already checked everything out online, I love that Topshop does international orders! Not sure how happy it makes my credit card though. But come on...those boots were made for walking! It's just that perfect blood red color that I failed to find in a form of a lipstick, so maybe the boots will make up for that...

CUT IT OFF?

I've been thinking of cutting my hair short again. Mainly because I want to get it lighter, which would seriously damage my hair so I would lose half of it anyway. The most annoying thing is that the color that I'm after is basically my own natural color. So growing it out is another much healthier but way more time consuming option. Either way I would need to cut it. I've had short blond hair actually, so it wouldn't be the first time. Oh what to do, what to do?

CLOSE ENOUGH

After the post about those super cool trench coats I got so obsessed over the idea of wearing trench with shorts. But as I haven't had a chance to go op shopping just yet then I thought I'll wear the closest thing I have to a trench. I've used this Witchery long knit thing mainly as a robe recently but it definitely deserves more attention so I'm glad I've re-discovered it.

CHANEL PERFECTION

This is by far the best nail polish ever! I've never been this excited over a color and now I finally got my hands on it, yaay!

PERFECT COMBO

I've been noticing a lot of graphic tees around lately so I dug up what I've got. Here wearing my vintage doors t-shirt and J Brand boyfriend jeans,  really just can't get enough of them!

OVERSIZED TRENCH - YES PLEASE!

Gotta love living in a city where my wardrobe can be utilized pretty much all year round. This means I don't have to focus on summer clothes in the start of summer (which is now) as style wise it's not my favorite season. Fall is heaps more interesting! So anyway, I found these fabulous trench coats searching the depths of Internet today and I can't believe I don't own a single trench coat! Come to think of it, not sure I ever have. The last photo here is my favorite. That sluggish oversized look is just perfect, and it seems that it's just couple of sizes bigger. I'll add 'too big trench coat' to my op shopping list!

BOSS

Here're some of my favorite picks from Hugo Boss Orange collection.

BARGAIN WITHOUT THE HUNT

I'm not a huge fan of self taken photos but I just wanted to show you this knit I got from Cotton On for $5 'cause it had a pull in the sleeve. It's nice and thin so, perfect for summer. I love when I find these things completely randomly, as it never ever happens when I decide to go shopping and spend a whole day running from store to store.

PINSPIRATION

Here's a bit of pinspiration for the weekend. Love the color combination of teal and burgundy and especially the mix of fabrics. Fabulous!

WHITE

I'm really not the kind of person who can wear white and not spill on it, so today was definitely a challenge. Seeing a kid with a chocolate ice cream running my way freaked me out a bit. I'm still very surprised I managed not to ruin my outfit today. Not sure whether all white is my thing though, I'm probably too short to actually pull it off. Next time I'll add heels and a high hair bun or something.
