SPRING YET?

I've really missed wearing lighter clothes and finally it's getting warm enough to swap my wool coat to a silk jacket. Also, I got my little hair cuff thingy delivered the other day. Good to add a little bling to my everyday favorite ponytail.

MY WISH LIST

This Helmut Lang top, Sass & Bide jeans, and Alexander Wang heels make up a perfect everyday combo for upcoming spring. As I can't seem to find the top anywhere I think I'll settle for something similar from the collection. 

NEW OBSESSION

 

                     

I have a bit of an obsession with jeans and over the years the whole jean-world has come far from just regular blue or black. I never got the whole color themed jeans, I know they have all the colors of a fruit bowl represented and I though maybe I could, so I got a pair of sky blue ones and wore them literally once. So obviously it's not my thing. All sorts of prints or cool patterns and textures is another story. I've sort of started a little collection here so I hope to add to it soon enough. Also, I haven't owned a pair of regular blue jeans for years, so I think it's time to get a pair and give up the hopes I'll ever fit into my old pair again.

The weather today is absolutely freezing!! I know I've had to deal with like -20c and Melbourne weather is far from that, but it definitely feels like it today. All I can think about is oversized warm soft knits. I could definitely snuggle up in one of these two with a cuppa and my blog. 

MAKE IT RED

I know that winter is just about over and I guess I should focus more on light makeup but I'm still in love with red lips, and the darker the better! It's such a quick and easy way to brighten up your makeup, and no need to bother about eyes. Just a bit of mascara to get the softer look or loads of mascara to get Twiggy with it. It has been quite a challenge to find a deep-deep red lipstick, but I haven't given up the hunt just yet. Any tips?

METALLICS

Metallics were a big hit last season, but I don't think they're going anywhere just yet. And they better not, as I've got a pair of Sass & Bide shorts that I got end of the season and hardly got to wear them before it got cold again. I'm also very into the copper Lanvin purse that's currently on sale on ssense.com. It would definitely make the perfect accessory.

I had my eyes on these jeans ever since the lookbook came out several months ago and I could not be happier to finally own a pair. I think these will be one of those items I'll wear for many years to come. Same applies to the angora knit - soft, warm, goes with everything. Do I need to say more?

SPEAKING OF THE 'DO

Okay I know it looks a bit like a birds nest but I reckon it's the perfect 'do for a windy day as it's already messy and keeps your hair away from your face.

THE EASY ACCESSORIES

I don't know what it is that I keep coming across skulls lately. I've been thinking of getting myself one of those hair cuff thingies and doing my research I came across this skull version. I actually think it's quite cool, but only if it's big enough to make a statement. Anyway, I ordered a plain gold cuff which should arrive soon enough so I'll post some pics once I get it.

MISSING SUMMER

Although it's not even spring yet, I'm already missing summer. I got this Helmut Lang shirt last year and I've made such great use of it wearing it as shirt, dress, or just a layering piece over winter. It can be quite challenging to find great spring/summer pieces that aren't all about color explosion and pastels, as I really don't like colors that much and tend to stay on the neutral side. And spring/summer collections are landing in stores as we speak, so fingers crossed!

UNDERWEAR AS OUTERWEAR

I looove beautiful underwear and I think Estonian girl Kriss Soonik has just become one of my favorite designers! Being a huge fan of wearing a racerback singlet with a lace bralette on a hot summer day I could not resist getting myself one of those gorgeous bras when I was in Estonia few months back. And honestly, this is by far the most comfortable piece of underwear I've ever owned. The pink version would be perfect for upcoming summer. And they do worldwide delivery. So very tempting!

LITTLE HEADS

Don't know why I haven't been wearing earrings at all for awhile now. But these cute little heads make me wanna take 'em home. Mix it up with a silk dress maybe?

WHEN IN MELBOURNE...

For whatever reason, Melbourneans love wearing black. And well..who wouldn't?! It's just too easy to look cool wearing layer on top of layer. These two here are probably my fav examples this far. Sorry that I can't remember where I found these pics from...

THE PERFECT DRESS

This Zara dress is one of my favorite pieces in my wardrobe. Simple t-shirt cut is what makes it so great, I can go nuts with whatever else I want to add to my outfit. Unfortunately though I managed to shrink it in wash (how that's possible with a cold hand wash will always be a mystery to me). So now I'm desperately trying to find something very similar. Any thoughts?

FEELING COLD?

Now, contrary to what many people think, it's not always nice and sunny in Melbourne. Looking out the window right now is a proof of that. So my darling relatives back in my home country Estonia gave me this warmest cutest most awesome fur hat for my bday this year. Perfect!

KEEP IT SIMPLE, STUPID

When it comes to accessorizing, well...I'm just not very good at it I guess. I have bought some cool pieces thinking that I'm gonna be all over the accessorizing business, but I always end up grabbing the easy options from my drawer. Maybe I'm just a bit lazy. Naah that can't be it! Let's say I like to keep things simple!

THE KNIT

I think everyone's got one item in their wardrobe that they have worn the most. This knit here is my absolute favorite! Being a huge fan of everything oversized and comfortable I got it in size 14 and it's angora wool so never fails to keep me warm. Aaah I get warm just thinking about it!
