While on the topic of sporty...I walk heaps so my Nike runners are my new best friends. Anyone who's been in Melbourne CBD knows about those office workers that wear their corporate suits with runners on their way to and from work. Plus they love going for jogs on their lunch breaks too. Melbournians really love running I think, I've never seen such enthusiasts anywhere in Europe.

I absolutely love t shirts and I'm happy to invest in a good quality one. I need a new workout tee so I was thinking this time I might go with something that I can actually wear casually as well so Adidas classic tees came to mind. Maybe pair it up with a skirt and ankle boots or something. Anyhow, will get back to you once I've found the perfect one.

THE LITTLE BLACK JACKET

Karl Lagerfeld has launched a photo based book about different celebrities wearing CHANEL's little black jacket. There's also a photo exhibition that has made its way to Sydney. Total bummer I'm not in Sydney right now, as I would looove to go and see it. Those who will can get back to me to make me green with envy. Meanwhile I might just get the book then...

ZIP IT

Firstly, I know I haven't posted a thing for over a week. My love for sports put me on a bed rest for awhile but now I'm back! Earlier this week I went to my best friend's farewell wearing this little number that's been hanging in my closet for a few months now waiting for the right occasion. The dress is obviously inspired by Victoria Beckham designs having the zip on the back, but it's a really good quality one and I love the 'simplicity with a detail' look, especially the pockets!

Another great collaboration will hit the stores next month. Margiela has designed a collection of shapes and textures for H & M. The black coat is absolutely amazing! And I love the structured masculine suit. So upsetting we don't have H&M in Australia, but good for inspiration anyway!

I was going through my albums and found these pics I haven't posted yet. I can't speak highly enough of the J Brand waxed jeans, they're my all time favorites that I've worn so many times the wax has started to rub off and I can't find any online now to replace them. So basically I have them hanging in my closet waiting for a 'special occasion'.

When it comes to underwear it should always be luxurious regardless what outfit I'm wearing. That said, I really like wearing a bright colored bralette with a racer back tank when it's really hot out. The only non-sexy bra I allow in my drawer is a sports bra. And who wouldn't love to own such beautiful underwear anyway? It can be a bit hard to find though. In one of my previous posts I mentioned Kriss Soonik's lingerie. She makes beautiful lace bralettes and other goodies. Waiting with anticipation it'll be sold in Melbourne stores soon enough.

I'm so excited over T by Alexander Wang's Resort 2013 collection. I like the slouchy sporty look about it, especially the track pants! It's almost as if you've just walked out of the gym. I'd really like wet look hair and no-make-up make up with this style, and maybe add some simple heels to dress it up. Love love love!

CRAZY DAYS

I went to this once in a year Sass & Bide warehouse sale today. Compared to last year it wasn't quite what I expected. The styles there weren't really my thing and I ended up with one pair of pants contrary to last year when I had two big bags of goodies. Good for my wallet I guess..
Anyway, my goal was to find a blazer, as I really need one, but instead I got hooked on trying on all the pants. I really liked the black ones, but there was something weird about them. I put them on and they were tight from all the weird places, and the same ones in gold were perfectly fine. I'm quite upset about that as I really liked them. Maybe I should go back for the gold ones? Argh...

I really loved the white silk pants though, cause they felt so amazing on. I'll post some outfit photos as soon as I get them altered. 

DOUBLE DENIM EXPERIMENT

I tried out the double denim trend the other day. At first I was quite against the whole idea but then I saw some great examples of modern styling that have almost managed to erase those stonewashed-jeans-with-a-matching-jacket memories from the 90s. I believe that whatever outfit you wear, it's only right for you if you feel super comfortable and confident wearing it and you don't even think about the outfit (which is why I don't do tight mini skirts for example). So now that I have nothing against doubling up I will definitely try different combinations as well!
